ASAP: The Association for the Study of the Arts of the Present is an international, nonprofit association dedicated to discovering and articulating the aesthetic, cultural, ethical, and political identities of the contemporary arts.
In it’s original state, The Association for the Study of the Arts of the Present (ASAP)’s website presented a disconnected user experience, outdated branding, and was running on an antiquated content management solution. In order to evolve the site into a more effective resource for it’s many international visitors and academic partners, focus was placed on modernizing the website’s aesthetic through to achieve a clean and concise path for their users to find what they were looking for.
We created an enhanced user experience through employing modern UX/UI best practices and built a mobile responsive experience is now able to effectively scale and position their organization in a dynamic and impactful new way.
We started by taking an in-depth look at ASAP’s users and sought to understand their objectives. In addition, we identified a number of desired outcomes of visitors of their site. Understanding these objectives at the onset of the engagement informed the user stories and ensured that at every step of the process from design through development we iterated with forward momentum.
